Protest of Students in Venezuela

I’m going to excuse myself, I am not a native english Speaker. Sorry for the mistakes in the text.

Hello, I’m going to tell you the story of what’s happening right now in Venezuela, my beautiful country.

Everything started 15 years ago. Yeah, I know, very long time. But recently the situation is getting worse: Since the last (miserable and despreciable) president died, we have a illegitimate president. I think that everybody knows him, he is the predecessor of Chávez.

If we thought that the last one was a terrible and corrupt, Maduro is even worse. They make acts of corruption so perkily, and we all knows that he, and his team are stealing the sinews of the nation. But we can’t do something. They have the power, and the militia.

This country lives of the foreign exchange. But government officials created ghosts companies, and buy all the foreign money, and then they sell it to the other companies in a higher price. So the normal companies, or REAL companies have to raise the prices to get earnings.

The inflation was incredible high! And the lower class (poor people) started to get angry, because they voted for him just because “He keep alive the legacy of the ex-president”, (In my opinion the legacy is steal everything and blaming the opposition). So, the fucking and stupid president, forced the companies to sell their products in a very low price. And the consequence of that was so many companies go away or closed, and the worst part: the shortage of products.

We don’t have ANYTHING!!!!

If you go to a supermarket, you CAN’T FIND THIS: toilet paper, milk (any kind), bread flour (a very essential product in a life of a venezuelan), wheat flour, detergents, tuna, fruits, clothes, electronics and so others products (including the imports).

If you want some of those things previously mentioned, you have to be in a line for more than 4 hours, JUST FOR BUY ONE OR TWO pieces of EACH products! And for each one, is a different line.

The people are more than tired. And the “first” manifestation was in Mérida State. Where the Students of the ULA (University of Los Andes) protest for their rights (In this moments the universities of Venezuela, and Schools, don’t have enough professors, that means: Many students are not having complete education), and against the injustice.

The first day ended in unrest, and so many of young students finished in jail (And they still are there). In a very dangerous jail. But guess what happened! The reos are protecting the students of the security guards that want to hurt them. In a protest, the reos started to scream: THEY ARE INNOCENT! THEY ARE INNOCENT!

By these arrests and problems came a lot of protest in so many states and cities: Valencia (Carabobo State), Maracay (Aragua State), Barquisimeto (Lara State), Táchira State, Pto. Ordaz (Bolívar State), Barcelona (Anzoátegui State), Coro (Falcón State) and Maracaibo (Zulia State).

They are protesting peacefully for the freedom of his partners, and for so MANY others injustices. In this acts are the students of universities, and they are: ULA, UCAB (Catholic University Andrés Bello), UCV (Central University of Venezuela), USB (University Simón Bolívar), UCAT (Catholic University of Táchira), UCSR (Catholic University of Santa Rosa), USM (University Santa María), UAM (University Arturo Michelena), UNEFM (Experimental National University Francisco de Miranda), URBC (University Rafael Belloso Chacín), The University of Zulia and so many others study centers that I can’t remember, really sorry.

How the government reacted? Ha! WITH VIOLENCE! They send out the National Bolivarian Police, the Bolivarian National Guard and specially, the most dangerous people: TUPAMAROS.

The Tupamaros are a rebel group of people. They are with the socialist movement and with this government.

They attacked the students, throwing stones and pellets, shooting and punching. Now many are dead and the others are seriously injured (Some of these students are from high school too).

BUT THIS CAN’T STOP US!!  We’re still fighting!!

The only thing that we want is our country back; Our homeland! We want the freedom, the morals and justice back!

Right now the media are not helping us! the national Television doesn’t help us, they are scared of be censored.

So, that’s the reason why I am posting this in Tumblr.

"Well we all know that the socialism JUST WORK IN THEORY, but in practice, that’s just BULLSHIT, and this is a perfect example.” - Student from the UCAB

We are using internet to inform to the world this fight, so please:
